TCS says digital business contributed 14% revenue in Q3

IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said its digital business contributed 13.7 percent of revenues in the third quarter ended December 2015.

The digital business of TCS rose 4 percent on quarter on quarter.

The total revenue of TCS increased 11.7 percent to Rs 27,364 crore in Q3 fiscal 2016.

Net profit of TCS increased 12.2 percent to Rs 6,110 crore.

TCS made a gross employee addition of 22,118. The total number of TCS employees stood at 344,691 in December 2015.

N Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer and managing director, TCS, said: “Digital will remain the core focus for enterprise IT in 2016 as our customers respond to competition in a global economy driven by real-time insights.”
