Dubai-based airline flydubai has tapped NIIT Technologies to build airline-specific IT systems to better passenger satisfaction.
NIIT Technologies plans to deliver these services through its global delivery center at its campus in Greater Noida, India. This will include a dedicated Testing Center of Excellence. NIIT Technologies will also provide support on software development projects with data center services through its Infrastructure Management Services.
“This partnership will help prepare for our next phase of growth and enable us to remain flexible and adapt to changes in travel patterns in the market,” said Ramesh Venkat, chief information officer of flydubai.
Since launching its operations in 2009, flydubai has created a network of more than 95 destinations in 45 countries, with 18 new routes announced in 2015.
It opened up 67 new routes and built a fleet of 50 new aircraft and will take delivery of more than 100 aircraft by the end of 2023, all of which will be Boeing 737-800s.
