IT services provider Mphasis, a HP company, has sold a part of its India BPO business to Karvy Data Management Services (KDMSL).
As part of the deal, Mphasis will transfer more than 2,000 employees to KDMSL, a provider of business and knowledge process services in India.
Earlier, Mphasis sold another India business to Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) and transferred more than 7,000 employees which was roughly two-third of the India Domestic Voice business.
The strategy of Mphasis is to focus on global BPO business.

“KDMSL is optimistic about the overall business growth in India. Our footprint in the country would enhance and integrate service offerings to clientele in addition to the existing transaction processing capabilities,” said V Mahesh, managing director of KDMSL.
