LinkedIn announced the list of Top Skills that companies need most in 2020. The list has been curated by LinkedIn Learning, by surfacing timely data from the LinkedIn network of over 660+ million professionals and 20+ million jobs to reveal the 15 most in-demand skills for 2020.
Below is the list that dives into top five soft skills and ten hard skills that employers need most in 2020.
Creativity, persuasion, collaboration, adaptability and emotional intelligence are the top five soft skills required for 2020.
Top 10 hard skills include blockchain, cloud computing, analytical reasoning, artificial intelligence, UX design, business analysis, affiliate marketing, sales, scientific computing and video production.
This year’s most in-demand soft skills list indicates that companies are inclined towards talent with interpersonal and people-oriented skills.
While task-oriented skills remain critical for success at work, the data shows that employers are giving equal importance to soft skills that play a critical role. As a result, Emotional Intelligence is the new entry to this year’s top soft skills list. Creativity, collaboration, persuasion and adaptability continues to be the top four most in demand soft skills year or year, reinforcing these skills as evergreen.
Among hard skills, Blockchain is new entrant and has made it to the top most in demand hard skill.
