Kerala IT Pavilion inaugurated at Gitex 2015 Dubai

The Kerala IT pavilion, featuring 33 companies from the state, at Dubai’s GITEX-Technology Week was inaugurated on Sunday.

The pavilion was inaugurated by Technopark CEO KG Gireesh Babu.

Launched in 1981, GITEX is an annual international trading hub for the global technology sector and the ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region, as well as an inbound sourcing platform for the entire Middle East region.

“We have been coming to Gitex for the past so many years and have been showcasing the various IT destinations in the state. But for the last three years, we have been bringing home grown IT companies especially in the SME sector and showcasing their innovative products and services at the same time giving them an opportunity to interact with the international players,” said Babu.

Talking about Kozhikode Cyberpark, CEO Ajith Kumar said that India’s apex IT industry body NASSCOM has identified it as a potential product destination.

“The first IT building at Cyberpark will be commissioned soon and we hope to see many companies from this region setting up offices there,” he said.

The Kerala delegation will also use the visit to meet up the prominent Non-Resident Keralites (NRKs) to talk to them about wide range of investments opportunities that the state offers.
