Ipswich City signs Accenture for Smart City strategy

Accenture employees
Ipswich City Council, one of the fastest growing regions in Australia, has selected IT services provider Accenture to progress its Smart City transformation strategy and implementation plan.

Accenture says this initiative will develop and deliver a blueprint to optimize city operations, enhance community engagement, cultivate digital technology capabilities and lead economic innovation.

As per the agreement with Ipswich, Accenture will focus on identifying and developing strategic direction to maintain and improve priorities for a safe, connected and productive city.

“Rather than proposing a product driven, technology-centric solution, we have embedded our consulting and strategic approach around the vision and needs of the Ipswich community,” said  Catherine Garner, Accenture’s Health & Public Service Lead for Australia and New Zealand.
