InterraIT, a technology solutions and software consultancy provider with development centers in Kolkata and Noida, is planning to increase headcount by 50 percent this year.
The San Jose headquartered company currently employs 400 people and is planning to move towards the tier II and III cities to set up new centers. The Rs 200 crore company is looking at cities like Durgapur, Nainital and Chandigarh.
“New employees will mostly come from India. Normally, US: India hiring ratio is 1:10, but soon it could be 1:20. Excellent talents are available in tier II and III cities and come at a much cheaper cost. Some of these towns also have excellent IT infrastructure,” said Asoke Laha, president and CEO of InterraIT.
The CMM level 5 company is a leader in mobile applications and various other verticals like retail, logistics, healthcare and finance. It provides IT solutions to Fortune 500 and 1,000 firms worldwide. “Going forward our thrust will be on areas like mobility, big data business, and analytics.
The company plans to incubate some of the bright ideas from within the company.
