Allison Transmission, a US-based manufacturer of automatic transmissions for commercial vehicles, has selected India-based IT services company Infosys to provide IT infrastructure management services.
Meanwhile, an Infosys Research on digital technology use said digital disruption is steering enterprises from core modernization to delivering customer delight.
IT engineers at Allison Transmission, headquartered in Indianapolis, will be managing the installation of a new software command center for Allison Transmission using Infosys Nia. The AI tool from Infosys will assist Allison Transmission for achieving agility and efficiency through the management of technology processes and its physical assets.
“Our priority has been to find a fresh approach to evolve our technology infrastructure to support strategic business imperatives and growing business demand, and create a model that boosts our maturity in how we manage our worldwide information systems and services,” Dean E. Ranalli, chief information officer of Allison Transmission, said.
