Infosys today said the number of employees has increased to 240,208 in September quarter from 239,233 in June quarter.
Infosys also said the number of software professionals has increased to 226,067 in September quarter from 225,167 in June quarter.
Pravin Rao, COO of Infosys, said the IT services provider giving 100 percent variable pay along with a special incentive for Q2. “We are rolling out salary increase and promotions across all levels effective January.”
Infosys said Q2 revenues were $3.312 billion, registering growth of 3.2 percent year-on-year and 6.1 percent quarter-on-quarter. Operating profit of Infosys was $840 million, clocking growth of 20.7 percent year-on-year and 18.7 percent quarter-on-quarter.
“Our digital and cloud capabilities combined with intense client relevance are helping us achieve differentiated results in the market as is visible in 2.2 percent year on year overall revenue growth and 25.4 percent growth from digital offerings, which now are at 47.3 percent of revenues,” said Salil Parekh, CEO and MD of Infosys.
