Infosys bags digital transformation deal from retail giant ASW

IT services company Infosys announced digital transformation deal with A.S. Watson Group (ASW), a health and beauty retailer.

The Bangalore-based Infosys did not reveal the size of the digital transformation contract with ASW.

Hong Kong-based A.S. Watson Group, which has 13,700 stores in 24 markets, has selected Infosys as an Official Technology Partner to provide technology services across data science and artificial intelligence.

The global retail chain use will utilize Infosys’ solutions, services and technologies to speed up its digital marketing platform, build AI and machine learning frameworks for customer centric analytics, optimize operational efficiencies, improve scalability and reusability across business units.

“The appointment of our first batch of worldwide Tech Partners shows our determination to accelerate our digital transformation, enabling the A.S. Watson Group to build on our solid retail foundation to fuel further growth through a smarter and more efficient organization,” said Malian Ngai, group chief operating officer of A.S. Watson Group.

Ravi Kumar S, deputy chief operating officer of Infosys, said the IT service company will use its experience in the retail industry, understanding of global markets as well as strong digital capabilities to help the A.S. Watson Group achieve its business objectives.
