Technology outsourcing company Capgemini announced its £15 million, three-year deal with House of Fraser, a department store in the UK and Ireland.
Julian Burnett, CIO of House of Fraser, said the retail chain is impressed with the way in which Capgemini was able to approach this opportunity with fresh eyes and demonstrate the flexibility to support its business now and in the future.
Capgemini could sign a three-year IT deal this time. Earlier, Capgemini had a 7-year deal with House of Fraser.
Tom Thicknesse, head of Consumer Products and Retail at Capgemini in the UK, was instrumental in renewing the deal with House of Fraser.
The new technology outsourcing deal will place Capgemini at the heart of the retailer’s IT ecosystem, building on a 7-year relationship between both companies.
Capgemini will support the retail chain’s ongoing IT simplification strategy. Capgemini will continue to provide IT infrastructure and application support, alongside additional new services designed to unlock further innovation across House of Fraser’s IT network.
Capgemini’s Digital Service Desk provides employees with multi-channel mobile access to resolve IT issues.
Its next generation Application Development and Maintenance platform will drive efficiencies across the retailer’s applications estate.
In addition, Capgemini will enable cost-efficiency of these additional services through its Automation Drive tools and IP, and a program of continuous service improvements.
