HCL Tech wins 5-year IT infrastructure deal from EDF Luminus

HCL Technologies has won a 5-year IT infrastructure and application services contract from EDF Luminus, the second largest electricity producer and energy supplier in Belgium.
HCL Technologies for enterprisesFinancial details of the IT infrastructure deal with the Belgium-based energy giant were not disclosed. Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, IBM, TCS, Cognizant, among others, look for similar IT deals.

Bruno Brusselmans is the chief information officer (CIO) of EDF Luminus. Gregoire Dallemagne is the CEO.

India based HCL Technologies will help EDF Luminus to transform and modernize its IT infrastructure, applications landscape and will migrate its SAP portfolio to a public cloud environment.

HCL will be responsible for migrating all EDF Luminus’ SAP applications to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud. HCL will provide integrated Cloud and Data Center services, non-SAP Application management including infrastructure support, end-to-end network and security services, as well as Service Integration and Management (SIAM).

HCL Technologies, which works with more than 100 energy and utilities companies, helping to drive customer-centric transformation initiatives, has consolidated revenues of $8.4 billion for 12 months ended 31st December, 2018.
