Emerging verticals boost WNS revenue in Q2

Business Process Management (BPM) services provider WNS said its revenue rose 5.2 percent to $141 million, while profit was flat at $15.5 million in the second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

WNS said it added 5 new clients in the second quarter, while it expanded 6 existing relationships with clients. Global employee base of WNS reached 29,830 in September, 2015.

Growth drivers for revenue improvement were emerging verticals, including Retail/CPG, Utilities, Shipping and Logistics, Healthcare, and CPS, which all grew in excess of 12 percent.

“Business momentum remains healthy, as WNS continued to add new strategic logos and expand our existing relationships in the quarter. WNS also launched a new suite of solutions for the travel industry leveraging WNS-owned technology and embedded analytics,” said Keshav Murugesh, chief executive officer of WNS.

WNS aims to continue expanding capabilities and services in the areas of automation, analytics and digitization.
