Infotech Lead America: Global customer care provider Sitel is on an expansion spree.
Sitel will be hiring 3,000 new employees at customer care call centers at U.S. and Canada. This hiring will include employees who are interested to work from home apart from center based employees.
This latest round of hiring is incremental to the center-based and SitelWork@Home associates Sitel has already hired in North America in 2012.
These new employees will help Sitel to give prompt and efficient support to its new clients in the retail, telecom and home entertainment industries. Agents will be provided by telephone, Web chat and social media customer care services.
Michael Wellman, Sitel’s chief human resource officer, said: “With more than 120 sites around the world, Sitel is creating dozens of these types of stories every year. As we look to add a pool of talent to meet our current wave of growth, we anticipate that some of these new hires will be future leaders in Sitel.”
Recently, Sitel said it is hiring of 100 new employees in Taxes for Dish Network and DirecTV.
Indian call center market is also experiencing growth. For instance, Infosys BPO announced its plans to recruit 8,000 new employees with 20 percent of them in the middle or senior level professionals. Infosys BPO’s expansion is giving a boost to the job market which majorly hit by the recession.
According to a market survey done by Global Industry Analyst (GIA), the Business Process Outsourcing market will reach $280.7 billion by the year 2017. United States and Europe dominated the BPO market globally.
Meanwhile, Sitel, which has around 57,000 employees in 120+ domestic, nearshore, and offshore centers in 25 countries across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific, is also adding new business to its customer care call center in Albuquerque.
Recently, the Albuquerque call center has begun recruitment drive to expand its staff by approximately 200 associates. The site will add a new client who is an award winning company committed to providing safety, security, peace of mind and unparalleled service to their customers. The newly hired Albuquerque associates will provide high-quality customer support via inbound calls and dispatch.
