IT services provider CSC on Tuesday announced that it has bagged a 3-year contract with Transport for NSW to provide network managed services.
As per the agreement, valued at more than AUD$100 million, CSC will provide network managed services across the department’s 1,200 sites including administration offices, motor registries, roadside depots and railway stations.
CSC will be managing seven existing networks in addition to new technologies being deployed. This apart, CSC will maintain critical network equipment including switch routers, wireless networks, and firewalls for Transport for NSW and its agencies.
“Our knowledge of the transport industry and ability to meet Transport’s core requirements around enhanced services and delivery quality were key factors in the final selection of CSC to support these vitally important operations,” said Seelan Nayagam, managing director, CSC Australia & New Zealand.
CSC will manage all third-parties that provide service and carriage to Transport for NSW. Over the next six months CSC will facilitate this transition to achieve economies of scale and cost savings with one organization overseeing and managing all services.
