Cognizant revenue up 23.5% to $3.19 bn in Q3

IT services provider Cognizant Technology Solutions today said its third quarter revenue rose 23.5 percent to $3.19 billion.

Net income of Cognizant Technology increased to $397.2 million from $355.6 million.

“We experienced another quarter of strong performance, building on our solid momentum in the first half of the year with continued broad-based demand across key industries and geographies we serve,” said Francisco D’Souza, chief executive officer of Cognizant.

Cognizant Technology expects revenue of $3.23 billion in fourth quarter and $12.41 billion in 2015.

Cognizant Technology said it generated revenues of $1,284 million (+18.6 percent) from Financial Services, $ 939.2 million (+43.3 percent) from Healthcare, $606.2 million (+13.7 percent) from Manufacturing/Retail/Logistics and $ 357.6 million (+15.2 percent) from other businesses.

78.8 percent revenue came from North America, 9.4 percent from United Kingdom, 6.6 percent from rest of Europe and 5.2 percent from rest of world, said Cognizant Technology.
