Cognizant Technology Solutions on Wednesday said its revenue rose 20.9 percent to $2.355 billion in the fourth quarter of 2013. Net income grew 16.3 percent to $324.3 million from $278.8 million.
Net headcount Cognizant addition for the quarter was approximately 5,000; year-end headcount was approximately 171,400.
Cognizant’s growth during 2013 was broad-based across industries, geographies and service lines.
Gordon Coburn, president of Cognizant, said: “This strong growth was fuelled by our clients’ on-going drive to run better for more efficient and productive operations and to run different to create the capabilities and business models they need for future success.”
Cognizant said its revenue in 2013 grew 20.4 percent to $8.843 billion.
Net income increased 17.14 percent to $1.23 billion from $1.05 billion.
