Cognizant has opened its delivery center in San Jose, Costa Rica.
This is the fifth delivery center in Latin America and 15th in the Americas, said Cognizant in a statement.
At present, Cognizant has 50 delivery centers worldwide and approximately 166,400 employees as of September 30, 2013.
The new center will enable Cognizant’s global customers to leverage the operational, technical and linguistic capabilities available in the region, while delivering local insights and time zone advantages to the company’s customers in North and South America.
Cognizant says the new delivery center will further strengthen Cognizant’s ability to help customers address the dual mandate of driving operational efficiencies to fund innovation and business transformation.
