Technology outsourcing company Cognizant has moved the SAP infrastructure at ANHAM FZCO, a supply chain firm in the Middle East, to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform in order to create a cost effective IT environment.
Cognizant as migrated on-premise enterprise SAP production system workloads to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to improve the monitoring, availability and performance of its IT infrastructure, optimize the capital and operating cost.
Cognizant leveraged its service delivery model and SAP Cloud Assessment and Transformation (cCAT) Framework to enable ANHAM to migrate to the cloud without any business disruption. Hosting SAP applications on the cloud has provided ANHAM with a digital foundation to deepen business insights, unlock new opportunities, and build new business models.
“High levels of flexibility and responsiveness to continually evolving business and customer needs are key to achieving strategic objectives,” said Claudiu Iarca, chief information officer of ANHAM FZCO.
“We expect to reduce our annual SAP infrastructure spend by at least 20 percent to start with, and are confident that this initiative will deliver a number of other far-reaching operational and financial benefits, helping us provide richer, more meaningful customer experiences,” Claudiu Iarca said.
Rajesh Balaji Ramachandran, global delivery leader for Enterprise Application Services at Cognizant, said by cloud-enabling its IT infrastructure, ANHAM can take advantage of new technologies and business models at little or no capital expense.
Cognizant implemented the SAP migration program with its SAP cloud transformation process, frameworks, tools and accelerators. The use of automation will reduce manual effort by more than 30 percent.
“Cognizant brings strong capabilities and resources to help companies like ANHAM more effectively respond to market changes using Microsoft Azure’s cloud services,” said Corey Sanders, partner director at Microsoft Azure.
