Capgemini revenues up 2.9 percent in first quarter

IT outsourcing company Capgemini reported revenues of €3,092 million (+2.9 percent) in the first quarter of 2016.

Digital and Cloud offerings grew 28 percent in the first quarter.

Consulting Services (4 percent of Group revenues), boosted by demand in digital transformation, rose 7.4 percent. Local Professional Services (15 percent of Group revenues) grew 11.2 percent, boosted by the addition of IGATE’s engineering activities.

Application Services (59 percent of Group revenues) grew 16.2 percent fuelled by demand for Digital and Cloud offerings. Other Managed Services (22 percent of Group revenues), after integrating IGATE’s BPO, ITOPS platform and infrastructure activities, increased 11.2 percent.

North America generated 30 percent of Group revenues and a growth of 40.1 percent, the United Kingdom & Ireland region reported 8.1 percent increase and Asia Pacific and Latin America region grew 6.4 percent.

Capgemini Group headcount was 182,908. Offshore employees totaled 99,724, representing 55 percent of the total workforce.

Capgemini forecasts revenue growth of 7.5 percent to 9.5 percent, an operating margin of 11.1 percent to 11.3 percent and organic free cash flow generation in excess of €850 million.
