Capgemini Group has posted revenue of €6.467 billion (+3 percent) in the first half of 2018.
Digital and Cloud business now accounts for around 45 percent of revenues, Capgemini said on Friday.
Capgemini said its bookings reached €6.640 billion in the first six months of 2018, clocking an 11 percent increase.
Capgemini has achieved operating margin of €707 million (+5 percent), representing 10.9 percent of revenues. The IT service company’s operating profit of €521 million (–3 percent) was 8 percent of revenues.
Net profit fell to €314 million from €375 million.
Headcount increased 4.7 percent to 205,600. Capgemini has 117,000 employees in offshore centers, representing 57 percent of the total headcount.
Capgemini generated 31 percent of total Group revenues from North America, 12 percent from UK and Ireland, 22 percent from France, 28 percent from Rest of Europe region and 7 percent from the Asia Pacific and Latin American region.
Capgemini generated 6 percent of the total revenue from Consulting Services, 15 percent from Technology & Engineering Services, 63 percent from Application Services, and 16 percent from Other Managed Services.
Capgemini said its Consulting Services reported a 31.5 percent revenue increase, with strong growth in North America and the Rest of Europe region. Capgemini handled digital transformation deals in the Consumer Products, Financial Services and Manufacturing sectors.
Capgemini’s Technology & Engineering Services revenue rose 15 percent, led by North America.
Application Services, fueled by the customer demand related to the new needs in the Digital and Cloud, posted revenue growth of 10.5 percent – led by North America, France and the Rest of Europe.
Other Managed Services revenues fell 4.4 percent mainly due to the lower activity in the UK public sector.
