Ahlstrom-Munksjo has selected Tech Mahindra to manage the company’s end-to-end IT operations.
Tech Mahindra, as per the IT services contract, will assist Ahlstrom-Munksjo in its digital transformation journey, with IT services and solutions including IT user support, infrastructure management and application support using digital and automation tools and technologies.
Approximately 25 employees of Ahlstrom-Munksjo are expected to be transferred to Tech Mahindra as per the agreement.
“IT is an important factor in Ahlstrom-Munksjo’s journey to continue to establish its position as a leading supplier of fiber-based materials,” said Kristiina Lammila, CIO at Ahlstrom-Munksjo.
The latest multi-million Euro deal is a renewal of an existing contract that was awarded to Tech Mahindra by Ahlstrom three years ago. Earlier this year, Ahlstrom and Munksjo announced their merger.
“The enhanced task assigned to us to provide a digitally-enabled IT for the combined entity of Ahlstrom-Munksjo is a huge recognition of the technological depth and the IT plus business process improvements which Tech Mahindra has been able to deliver,” said Rajesh Chandiramani, head of Continental Europe at Tech Mahindra.
Europe accounts for around 30 percent of Tech Mahindra’s overall business. Within Europe, Finland is one of the strategic IT markets for Tech Mahindra.
