Ethiopia based Africa Insurance Company (AIC) has upgraded to 3i Infotech’s PREMIA Version 11 from PREMIA Version 9.
Africa Insurance Company has evaluated other options before renewing its existing deal with 3i Infotech, a Mumbai-based company with over 4,800 employees in 18 offices across 11 countries and over 1,000 plus customers in more than 50 countries across 4 continents.
The IT company’s products and services — Premia, MFund, Orion, Kastle ULS and Amlock — cater to leading industry verticals such as BFSI, government, manufacturing, retail, distribution, telecom and healthcare.
Africa Insurance Company selected Premia11 General Insurance, Premia11 Life & Business Intelligence Module – General Insurance & Life. 3i Infotech did not reveal financial details of the deal.
AIC, which used 3i Infotech’s PREMIA 9 for the past 12 years, will use the latest version of PREMIA Version 11 to meet its growing business needs and expansion plans.
3i Infotech’s PREMIA Version 11 has functionalities such as motor fleet policies maintenance-upload module, risk upload & maintenance, policy or claim document/image upload, customer registration, policy endorsement and renewal, SMS/email, local language support etc.
“The Web based PREMIA 11 supports several of the corporate goals and objectives established by Africa Insurance IT Department and the company management,” said Rakesh Doshi, EVP & business head – Financial Services and Insurance (FSI), 3i Infotech.
Africa Insurance Company will benefit from real-time and accurate reporting of client enquiries and administrative metrics, improved staff efficiency through centralized management of server and software application, streamlined operations through uniform speed across the region etc.
The migration of General Insurance functions from the PREMIA 9 system to the web-based platform (PREMIA 11) will result in efficiency with regards to company resources and business processes.
