Aegis inaugurates delivery center in Sivaganga,Tamil Nadu

Outsourcing and technology services company Aegis today inaugurated its delivery center in Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu, India. 

Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram inaugurated the new center will serve local, regional and well as national clients.

The center will have an initial capacity of 250 seats, which translates into 500 direct white collared jobs and is expected to additionally generate three to four times indirect employment.

The center in Sivaganga is the second such facility in Tamil Nadu after Chennai.

“Aegis Sivaganga will reinforce this strategy of ensuring the local communities are included in the work force by inclusive practices,” said Sandip Sen, global CEO, Aegis.

Aegis has delivery centers in tier 2 and tier 3 locations in India. This business model offers tangible and intangible benefits to support the domestic market, which requires mainstream BPMs to be more cost effective, provide diversity of locations, skills and capabilities.

Aegis starts Shivganga delivery center

Aegis launched its delivery center in Chhindwada, Madhya Pradesh, and has scaled up operations to over 700 people in less than one year.

In Srinagar, it has scaled up to 500 people.

Its Jamshedpur center, which was launched in 2008, has about 3,000 people.

Aegis has operations in 56 locations across 13 countries with more than 55,000 employees. Aegis services over 300 clients from verticals such as Banking and Financial Services, Insurance, Technology, Telecom, Healthcare, Travel & Hospitality, Consumer Goods, Retail, and Energy & Utilities.
