Accenture will provide application development and maintenance services to Tryg, the second largest general insurer in the Nordic region.
As per a five-year agreement between Tryg and Accenture, the objective of the project is to further optimize returns on Tryg’s IT investment and enhance customer service.
Accenture on Friday said it will manage and enhance all of Tryg’s existing non-core insurance applications, including finance and accounting, customer relationship management and web solutions, which support the insurer’s operations in Denmark and Norway.
The IT initiative is part of Tryg’s strategic program designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.
Espen Opedal, chief information officer of Tryg, said: “To provide excellence in customer service while lowering costs in a rapidly changing business and technology environment, Tryg needs to ensure that its IT applications are not only exceptionally reliable, but also flexible and continuously improved.”
Bent Dalager, managing director for Accenture’s Financial Services group in the Nordics, said: “Innovative insurers like Tryg can lower their IT spend and increase value-generating activities, adapting their application landscape as business evolves.”
