Accenture to acquire energy management firm EnergyQuote

Accenture is set to acquire London-headquartered EnergyQuote JHA, a Pan-European energy management and procurement services provider.

The acquisition of EnergyQuote, which was founded in 1992, will boost Accenture’s energy procurement capabilities in Europe and enhance its ability to deliver energy management as-a-service to clients.

EnergyQuote JHA provides services including energy procurement, risk management and strategy development, forecasting, energy contract management, portfolio management, carbon emissions reduction and utility bill management to clients in more than 22 European countries.

“This acquisition will extend Accenture’s position in the procurement market and enhance our ability to provide comprehensive energy management services, putting us in an even better position to provide innovative business process services that deliver business outcomes to our clients,” said Mike Salvino, group chief executive, Accenture Operations.

Accenture will absorb EnergyQuote JHA’s 279 employees from offices across Europe including the UK and Romania, as well as India.
