IT services provider Accenture today announced its deal with pharmaceutical major GSK for offering Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D platform to speed up its drug development process.
The platform brings together multiple internal and external data sources into a single analytics platform, creating actionable insights to accelerate drug development and improve patient outcomes, said Accenture.
Accenture in a statement said that GSK has also joined the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud Coalition, which includes three pharmaceutical companies: Eisai, Merck and Pfizer. The coalition will drive innovation and digitally enable the R&D function through the Accenture Life Sciences Cloud for R&D platform.
