Accenture has acquired Kogentix, a big data and AI company, headquartered in Schaumburg, Ill.
Kogentix will strengthen Accenture Applied Intelligence’s data engineering business, particularly in North America.
Accenture will strengthen business with companies which are increasingly looking to harness open source big data and advanced analytics technologies to identify revenue growth and cost reduction opportunities across the enterprise.
Boyd Davis, CEO and co-founder of Kogentix and the other co-founders, Sanjay Gogia (COO), Jai Malhotra (CTO), and Krishna Nimmagadda (President), will continue to play key roles in leading the business.
Kogentix, founded in 2015, has nearly 220 big data engineers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers.
In addition to its Schaumburg headquarters, Kogentix has offices in Pleasanton, Cal., Hyderabad and Bangalore (India), Singapore, and Jakarta (Indonesia). Its clients include technology, high-tech, healthcare, consumer goods, and financial services companies.
Accenture in August 2017 acquired Search Technologies, a content analytics and enterprise search with nearly 200 big data engineers and search experts, into its Applied Intelligence practice.
