Technology outsourcing company Accenture today announced the acquisition of UK-based Genfour, a provider of automation solutions.
The acquisition strengthens Accenture’s capabilities as a provider of intelligent automation services to enterprises. James Hall is the CEO of Genfour. Genfour, founded in 2012, is a privately held company headquartered in Cwmbran, in Wales, United Kingdom, serving clients across multiple industries, most notably in insurance, banking and utilities.
The addition of Genfour expands Accenture’s ability to apply intelligent automation solutions that helps clients transform and re-engineer their business processes. Businesses use data-driven insights to take informed business decisions and improve quality of service to their customers.
Genfour’s automation professionals will join the Accenture Operations global Intelligent Automation team and be an integral part of the new Accenture Center of Excellence for Intelligent Automation in the U.K.

Accenture has trained more than 70,000 professionals on new architectures, intelligent platforms and automation over the past year. Accenture has implemented automation solutions for more than 80 percent of Accenture Operations clients.
Meanwhile, Accenture has completed the acquisition of the iDefense Security Intelligence Services business from VeriSign.
The purchase of iDefense brings more capabilities to Accenture Security, by boosting its Cyber Defense Services with better threat intelligence to augment the services it manages for clients’ security operations.
Accenture has also completed its acquisition of Arismore, a company in France that specializes in providing security services, including identity and access management (IAM), as well as enterprise architecture, change management and related training services with a team of 270 skilled security and enterprise architecture professionals.
