Enterprise IT vendor IBM will supply Watson technology to Cleveland Clinic to assist oncologists to deliver personalized medicine by analyzing new cancer treatment options for patients.
Aimed at accelerating the adoption of genomic based medicine at Cleveland Clinic, the program, which is in pilot stage, is an extension of on-going programs to aid the utilization of big data in the healthcare sector.
As part of the partnership, Lerner Research Institute’s Genomic Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic plans to evaluate Watson technologies to assist oncologists to develop personalized care to cancer patients.
