Precisely, the hospital utilized IBM Big Data and Analytics technology including InfoSphere DataStage, and IBM Cognos TM1 and IBM Cognos Business Intelligence to integrate systems in the administration and finance departments.

IBM in a statement said the deployment of the integrated data system has cut cost and time spent on administration and budgeting processes as Bundamedik’s personnel no longer need to move batches of data around manually.

This apart, the unified IBM data warehouse allows Bundamedik to automatically collect and retrieve data from discrete and separate sources, shortening the process to complete business reports from days to minutes.

IBM said Bundamedik can expedite approvals regarding budget planning, while applying the integrated scorecards and strategy management capabilities to monitor business performance.

For the second phase of the project, IBM will help Bundamedik implement a patient-centered integrated service solution to allow patients to get medical services from all of the healthcare provider’s branches through an integrated portal solution.
