Accenture offers Insights Platform as Analytics-as-a-Service solution

Accenture today announced the launch of its cloud-based analytics solution.

The IT consultancy and service provider will offer Accenture Insights Platform as Analytics-as-a-Service solution.

The Accenture Insights Platform can increase an organization’s speed to insight, decision-making and business outcomes. The platform has a preconfigured, industrialized architecture that can be provisioned within 24 hours and generate actionable analytics insights in weeks against months in the case of traditional platforms.

The analytics solution features enterprise strength security and 24/7 support.

There is no need for large, upfront capital expenditures from businesses. This model also makes it easier for companies to expand to new technologies and benefit from Accenture’s ongoing research and development.

“The platform breeds and supports a data-driven culture within an organization as it is designed to solve business problems in an agile way, encouraging a more dynamic decision-making process for a broad user base,” said Narendra Mulani, senior managing director, Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital.

Accenture Digital also shared how some of its enterprise clients benefited from analytics solutions.

Thames Water, a provider of water and wastewater services in the UK, has benefitted from analytics insights by anticipating equipment failures and responding in real-time to critical situations, such as leaks or adverse weather events.

An oil company operating in Canada has invested in analytics to optimize its workforce and meet its maintenance program deadlines. Accenture says missing deadlines can result in an estimated $10 million loss in revenue for each day of delay. The Canadian oil company is analyzing RFID data and using data visualization capabilities to provide streaming information to decision-makers.
