Since April 2019, the company has pursued work efficiency improvements by developing and introducing both dedicated and general-purpose AI tools.

By March 2023, Suzuki had rapidly deployed ChatGPT company-wide and implemented AI education programs for all employees to encourage AI adoption in various departments.

The company has been actively developing AI tools for individual businesses, including data analysis platforms, market quality information processing, demand forecasting, production technology visualization, and failure detection tools. Future developments include molding failure identification, painting and casting failure detection, and AI-driven marketing data analysis.

Suzuki has also introduced company-wide AI tools such as conversational AI (NAMI), summarization AI (NAGI), AI-based document utilization and search platforms, AI-to-AI conferencing, automatic meeting transcription, and multimedia generation tools.

AI education is a key focus, with training programs for executives, DX training for employees, and generative AI education initiatives. By 2025, Suzuki aims to expand AI usage across business operations with large-scale employee engagement.

The company’s AI strategy optimizes the entire value chain, equipping employees with business knowledge, AI skills, and automation capabilities. AI-driven planning supports product and service development based on customer needs, while AI in design enhances part geometry optimization.

AI in procurement improves forecast accuracy, distribution efficiency, and supply chain management. Production processes benefit from AI-optimized planning, automated defect detection, and predictive maintenance.

Suzuki said AI enhances quality through automated inspections, defect prevention, and global quality standardization. In sales and service, AI optimizes promotional activities, prospect analysis, and inventory management. Through these AI applications, Suzuki aims to maximize customer value and operational efficiency.
