OpenAI has entered into a partnership with Google Cloud to bolster its AI computing capabilities, marking a significant step in its multi-cloud infrastructure strategy.

ChatGPT has reached approximately 20 million paying subscribers — a figure reported by The Verge in April 2025, showing an increase of 4.5 million since year-end 2024. The AI platform boasts around 400 million weekly active users as of early 2025.
