NVIDIA and Meta Forge AI Infrastructure Partnership to Power Next-Generation Data Centers

NVIDIA and Meta have announced a strategic partnership aimed at building hyperscale AI infrastructure spanning on-premises data centers, cloud deployments, and next-generation AI platforms.

Strategic Partnership Focused on Hyperscale AI Infrastructure

Meta plans to build hyperscale data centers optimized for both AI training and inference as part of its long-term infrastructure roadmap. The partnership includes the deployment of NVIDIA CPUs, millions of Blackwell and Rubin GPUs, and integration of Spectrum-X Ethernet networking into Meta’s infrastructure stack.

Meta has recently increased its 2026 capex guidance to $115 billion to $135 billion as compared with $72.2 billion in 2025.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, said the partnership combines research and industrial-scale infrastructure to power large personalization and recommendation systems.

NVIDIA did not reveal the size of the AI technology deal with Meta. The deal will be a major setback to NVIDIA rivals such as Intel and AMD.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg highlighted that the expanded collaboration will help Meta build clusters based on NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform to support its vision of delivering personal superintelligence globally.

Expanded NVIDIA CPU Deployment to Improve Data Center Efficiency

The partnership significantly expands the deployment of Arm-based NVIDIA Grace CPUs across Meta’s data center production applications.

Key benefits include:

Improved performance per watt across AI workloads

Large-scale deployment of Grace-only CPU infrastructure

Long-term adoption of NVIDIA Vera CPUs, potentially at scale by 2027

This collaboration includes co-design and software optimization investments to strengthen the Arm software ecosystem and improve efficiency generation after generation.

Unified AI Architecture Across Cloud and On-Premises

Meta will deploy NVIDIA GB300-based systems to create a unified architecture that spans:

This unified approach aims to simplify operations while delivering:

Meta has also adopted NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking across its infrastructure to deliver low-latency, AI-scale networking and better utilization of computing resources.

Confidential Computing Brings Privacy to AI on WhatsApp

Meta has adopted NVIDIA Confidential Computing to power AI features on WhatsApp while ensuring privacy and data integrity.
