Intuit has announced a multi-year agreement valued at more than $100 million with OpenAI to integrate advanced ChatGPT models across its popular financial applications, including TurboTax, Credit Karma and QuickBooks. The partnership aims to deliver faster, more intelligent financial assistance to users by embedding AI agents directly into Intuit’s ecosystem.

Shares of the Mountain View-based company rose 3.4 percent in premarket trading, reflecting strong investor confidence in the AI-driven strategy, Reuters news report said.
Through the new integration, Intuit’s platforms will become accessible within ChatGPT, giving users the ability to make instant financial decisions—such as estimating tax refunds, checking personal loan eligibility or assessing mortgage options—without leaving the chatbot interface. Intuit says this will streamline complex financial tasks and help customers benefit from more intuitive digital experiences.
CEO Sasan Goodarzi said the collaboration brings together Intuit’s proprietary financial data, credit models and long-standing AI capabilities with OpenAI’s scale and frontier technologies. He highlighted that the aim is to give users “the financial advantage they need to prosper.”
The company recently increased prices for its QuickBooks online and payroll subscriptions after launching new AI agents designed to automate actions on behalf of users. Intuit expects the expanded OpenAI partnership to boost engagement across its nearly 100 million customers and attract new users seeking AI-enhanced tax and financial solutions. Earlier this year, the company issued a first-quarter revenue growth forecast that came in below analyst expectations, partly due to soft performance at its Mailchimp marketing platform. However, Intuit is betting that stronger AI integration will help accelerate growth across its broader portfolio.
