Intel and DigitalBridge Launch Articul8 AI, an Enterprise AI Platform

Intel and DigitalBridge Group, a global investment firm, have set up Articul8 AI, Inc. (Articul8), a company for delivering generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) software platform catered to enterprise clients.
Articul8 AI solutionsArticul8 AI, developed with a focus on security and optimization, provides AI capabilities while ensuring the protection and confinement of customer data, training, and inference within enterprise security parameters. Moreover, it offers customers the flexibility to choose between cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment options.

The genesis of Articul8 stems from the intellectual property and technology incubated at Intel. The collaborative venture between Intel and DigitalBridge positions both entities strategically aligned for market opportunities and emphasizes joint efforts in fostering GenAI adoption within enterprise environments.

Leading the helm at Articul8 is Arun Subramaniyan, previously a vice president and general manager in Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, who assumes the role of CEO. Intel did not reveal the investment plan of Articul8.

DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture arm of DigitalBridge, will be taking the lead as the principal investor. Additionally, Intel and a consortium of venture investors such as Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group have acquired an equity stake in the company.

Articul8’s offering comprises a turnkey GenAI software platform designed to deliver speed, security, and cost-efficiency, enabling large enterprise customers to effectively operationalize and scale AI within their workflows. The platform’s launch and optimization were executed on Intel hardware architectures, leveraging Intel Xeon Scalable processors and Intel Gaudi accelerators, with plans to support various hybrid infrastructure alternatives.

Notably, after an initial deployment phase at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the platform has been successfully scaled to cater to enterprise customers in sectors such as financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications, where high security and specialized domain knowledge are paramount.

“With its profound AI and HPC domain expertise and enterprise-ready GenAI deployments, Articul8 stands poised to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel, our wider network of customers, and partners,” Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO, said.
