Deloitte Consulting is experiencing significant benefits from adopting AI PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra processors. These advanced machines have led to a 50 percent reduction in processing time for routine tasks, translating into increased productivity, enhanced speed, cost efficiency, lower error rates, improved security, and greater privacy.

The Power of AI PCs
During Intel Vision in Las Vegas, Deloitte leaders shared their experience with AI PCs in a session led by Michelle Johnston Holthaus, CEO of Intel Products, and Christoph Schell, Intel’s chief commercial officer. Dave Kuder, U.S. Consulting AI Insights & Engagement Market Offering lead at Deloitte Consulting LLP, emphasized the strategic investment in AI PCs:
“The return on investment is clear. We recognized 18 to 24 months ago that AI was going to be a major investment for us. The challenge then became, ‘How do we deploy this capability to our 180,000 professionals in the most cost-effective way?’ Intel Core Ultra-powered AI PCs have been central to achieving this goal.”
AI PCs bring AI capabilities directly to users, eliminating the need for internet connectivity for AI workloads. Unlike cloud-based AI solutions, these PCs process computations locally, ensuring data privacy and security while avoiding costly cloud-based AI subscription fees. The key components of these AI PCs include:
GPU: Accelerates AI-driven digital content creation.
NPU (Neural Processing Unit): Efficiently handles sustained AI workloads, extending battery life.
CPU: Ensures low-latency AI performance.
How Deloitte Engineers Use Intel AI PCs
Deloitte Consulting, with over 20,000 engineers, serves industries such as finance, retail, government, healthcare, life sciences, energy, and technology. AI integration in engineering workflows has significantly improved efficiency and productivity.
“AI needs to be embedded into workflows. By using AI PCs, we’ve automated essential but tedious engineering tasks — environment provisioning, data pipeline setup, CI/CD deployments, testing, and documentation. These are necessary processes, but they aren’t why someone becomes a computer engineer. AI PCs free our engineers to focus on strategic problem-solving,” Bill Briggs, Deloitte Consulting’s Chief Technology Officer, said.
This shift has standardized operations, increasing confidence in processes and boosting overall efficiency.
AI-Powered Solutions for Clients
Deloitte is leveraging Intel AI PCs to enhance AI and machine learning (ML) applications for its clients. “AI-driven automation is optimizing operations across industries, from manufacturing to visual defect identification on production lines. Some of the most impactful AI and ML problems we solve for clients aren’t flashy—but they drive high ROI and tremendous value,” Kuder explained.
Enhancing IT Support with AI PCs
Deloitte’s Chief Commercial Officer, Dounia Senawi, introduced TechSage, an AI-powered Tier 1 help desk application running on Intel AI PCs. TechSage automates fundamental IT support tasks such as password resets and troubleshooting, allowing professionals to focus on higher-value work.
Additionally, AI PCs enable Deloitte’s consultants to work seamlessly without cloud dependency, a crucial advantage for frequent travelers who need AI-powered capabilities even while in transit.
The Future of AI PCs
Intel launched AI PCs in December 2023, powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, with a vision to have 100 million AI PCs deployed by the end of 2025. Deloitte’s success with these AI PCs underscores their transformative impact on modern businesses, demonstrating the potential to enhance productivity, security, and efficiency on a large scale.
