Colgate-Palmolive partners with Aera to automate decision making

Aera Technology, a company specializing in Decision Intelligence, has announced a partnership with Colgate-Palmolive Company.

The collaboration aims to automate decision-making processes for Colgate-Palmolive’s Hill’s Pet Nutrition division, with the ultimate goal of achieving improved efficiencies and service levels.

Colgate-Palmolive will utilize the advanced capabilities of Aera Decision Cloud to optimize decision-making related to product deployment across its fulfillment network, which includes Hill’s Science Diet and Hill’s Prescription Diet plants, as well as mixing and distribution centers.

Aera’s Decision Intelligence technology is already operational at three Hill’s plants and enables dynamic stock deployment decisions. These digital decisions take into account customer prioritization, forecasted demand, and safety stock levels, ultimately facilitating optimal product allocation that maximizes fulfillment of demand and enhances customer service.

Bawana Radhakrishnan, Worldwide Director of Global Supply Chain Digital Transformation at Colgate-Palmolive, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing service levels for customers, making it a top priority at Hill’s and all of their businesses.
