Ask-AI, a solution for generative AI insights, unveiled its latest offering, the Generative AI Sidekick, along with securing $11 million in Series A funding.
Leaders Fund spearheaded this round, joined by initial investors Vertex Ventures, State of Mind Ventures, GTMFund, and other contributors, propelling Ask-AI’s total funding to $20 million.
The contemporary landscape sees companies storing data across various platforms and silos — Slack, emails, CRMs, business documents, customer interactions, knowledge bases, among others — posing a challenge to access pertinent data for decision-making or customer engagement. The potential of Generative AI to assist remains untapped due to the complexity in building precise, universally adopted solutions that positively impact business operations.
Alon Talmor, founder and CEO of Ask-AI, commented on the widespread interest among executive teams in leveraging AI to bolster employee productivity and customer satisfaction. However, the challenge arises in integrating AI seamlessly into workforce systems. Talmor stressed the necessity for an out-of-the-box application that intuitively provides employees with essential insights, actions, and answers without relying on specific queries.
Designed as a comprehensive generative AI solution, Ask-AI streamlines repetitive tasks, enhances knowledge management, and amplifies understanding of customer feedback. It interfaces with over 50 enterprise systems, including Salesforce, Zendesk, Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Drive, Teams, and various customer communication and knowledge repositories. Ask-AI assimilates, analyzes, and comprehends enterprise-wide knowledge, seamlessly integrating it into employee workflows for heightened productivity across customer support, success, product development, R&D, and sales.
At the core of Ask-AI’s offering is “ASK,” an ever-present sidebar providing contextual information within a team member’s workflow. ASK furnishes generative-AI highlights of customer concerns, sentiment analysis, churn risk insights, and offers relevant knowledge from company sources, accompanied by confidence scores and citations to counter AI hallucination—a challenge prevalent in popular AI models.
Complementing the solution, MosAIc, an AI insights tool, generates visual maps of critical customer concerns and recurring issues based on comprehensive business data. MosAIc empowers organizational leaders by pinpointing trending issues, allowing for informed decision-making to bridge knowledge gaps within the organization.
Gadi Vered, Senior Vice President of Customer Support and Implementation at Own, highlighted the distinctiveness of Ask-AI, underscoring its integration into employee workflows, accuracy, and continual delivery of valuable insights, contrasting it with other solutions in the market.
Ask-AI’s clientele, which includes Monday.com, Callrail, Yotpo, HiBob, Own, Instawork, and numerous others, has witnessed substantial enhancements in key business metrics. These improvements include a 20 percent reduction in the time-to-resolution of support tickets, a 25 percent decrease in the average number of tickets per agent per day, and an 18 percent decrease in Slack channel utilization.
Founded by Alon Talmor, previously associated with the Salesforce-acquired AI company BlueTail, Ask-AI boasts a robust team. This team comprises Prof. Jonathan Berant, spearheading NLP research at Tel Aviv University; Josh Solomon, former Head of Global Sales at Ada; Dafna Lavran, former VP and Chief of Staff at Payoneer; and Eyal Medar, with extensive VP of R&D experience in startups.
David Stein, Managing Partner at Leaders Fund, highlighted Ask-AI’s uniqueness as a native Gen AI platform with live deployments in leading enterprises. He emphasized its pivotal role in enabling employees to derive insights from enterprise data, facilitating quicker task completion. Stein expressed optimism about the market demand and the value customers are reaping, envisioning Ask-AI’s prominence in this category.
With a current team of 40 personnel spread across Tel Aviv and Toronto, Ask-AI anticipates doubling its workforce over the next 12 months to bolster its innovative offerings and meet growing market demands.
