Adobe has launched new AI tools allowing customers to create images based on Adobe’s stock image library while continuing to pay royalties to the original creators.

As Adobe integrates more AI into tools like Photoshop, its approach prioritizes legal compliance for commercial use and ensures compensation for artists whose work is included in AI-generated outputs.
The new tools let users start with an Adobe stock image and customize it using AI. Adobe’s VP, Matthew Smith, noted that while some customers enjoy generating images from text prompts, many prefer starting with a stock image and making tailored adjustments, which these tools now support. Adobe’s AI integration aims to enhance creative work without replacing stock images or creatives, creating additional earning opportunities for contributors.
