Amazon Acquires Globalstar

Amazon has agreed to acquire Globalstar in a deal valued at approximately $11 billion. Globalstar operates a low-Earth orbit mobile satellite services network and holds L- and S-band spectrum assets. The company also provides enterprise and industrial private wireless services through its terrestrial Band 53 and XCOM technologies. The acquisition includes Globalstar’s existing partnerships, including its satellite-enabled connectivity relationship with Apple for iPhone safety features, which Amazon plans to maintain. The deal expands Amazon’s capabilities in satellite communications and direct-to-device connectivity. PureCars Acquires AutoAlert

PureCars, backed by Diversis Capital and Stage 1 Ventures, has acquired AutoAlert from BlackRock. AutoAlert provides automotive customer analytics software designed to help dealerships identify sales opportunities and improve customer engagement. The acquisition allows PureCars to expand its capabilities in data-driven marketing and customer lifecycle management within the automotive retail sector.
