Brian Krzanich says Intel investment in AI reached $1 billion

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich to miss revenue target this yearBrian Krzanich, chief executive officer of Intel, announced that the technology company has invested more than $1 billion in companies that are helping to advance artificial intelligence (AI).

The company has also invested in startups like Mighty AI, Data Robot and Lumiata through Intel Capital portfolio.

“Intel will be the AI platform of choice, offering unmatched reliability, performance, security and integration. We are 100 percent committed to creating the roadmap of optimized products to support emerging mainstream AI workloads,” Brian Krzanich said.

Brian Krzanich said Intel has the largest selection of options for its customers. Businesses will need flexibility and infrastructure optimization to run highly specialized and general purpose AI functions alongside other critical business workloads.
