TE bolsters Quareo PLM family with CPID technology

TE Connectivity has expanded Quareo family of physical layer management (PLM) solutions with new products featuring connection point identification (CPID) technology.

The new products expand options for central office and data-center network architects who can implement physical layer management to gain an accurate, real-time view of physical network.

To provide accurate visibility on the state of the physical network at all times, TE’s Quareo system combines hardware and software elements and CPID technology.

Company claims that Quareo PLM system enables everyone from cable installers to network managers for easy and smart network management and also strengthens physical security, boost availability and provide real time communication with network assets.

The new NG4 access optical distribution frame (ODF) featuring Quareo technology (QNG4) provides superior access to high-density fiber terminations up to 3,456 fibers per frame, the company said.

Installing and maintaining large amount of fiber can now be done quickly, easily and less expensively because of the innovations in access trays, universal adapter packs, cabled modules and multifiber push-on modules.

The high density equipment panel featuring Quareo technology (QHDEP) is a 1RU fiber optic panel with six technician friendly access trays.

“These additions to the Quareo PLM product portfolio further extend our physical layer management technology by enabling higher density connectivity,” said Pat Thompson, director of product management at TE.

Last month, TE Connectivity announced that auto manufacturers Ford, General Motors, Hyundai and Toyota are using TE’s FlexWave Prism and FlexWave Spectrum distributed antenna system (DAS) to improve productivity with in-building mobile services.
