Avnet promotes Alison Challman as VP – marketing and brand solutions

Avnet Technology Solutions has promoted Alison Challman as the vice president, marketing and brand solutions, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, HP Solutions group and Tom Lango as vice president of finance, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas.

Challman leverages more than 20 years of experience to lead marketing for Avnet’s HP solutions team in the U.S. and Canada.

In this role, she develops go-to-market strategies and partner enablement programs to help Avnet’s HP partners capitalize on high-growth market opportunities, such as converged solutions and big data analytics.

Most recently, Alison and her team introduced the Avnet Practice+ for Analytics, which provides HP partners with IT services, technology solutions and enablement to capture opportunities related to business analytics and big data.

Prior to this role, Challman led strategic marketing for Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, where she helped to develop Avnet’s SolutionsPath methodology and practices to assist partners in specializing in key high-growth markets.

With more than 15 years of experience, Lango provides leadership for implementing financial policy and formulating strategic financial direction for Avnet Technology Solutions in the Americas.

Responsibilities include improving business practices and managing specific areas of accounting and finance, such as planning and forecasting, as well as internal controls and compliance.

Additionally, Lango led the best-practice implementation of financial and educational conferences for the CFOs of Avnet’s partners, which are designed to help strengthen their business expertise.
