Boeing inks tech deals with Google Cloud, Microsoft and AWS

Boeing, the leading aerospace company, announced tech deals with Cloud service providers such as Google Cloud, Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Google Cloud

Boeing has selected Google Cloud to support the cloud transformation by migrating hundreds of applications across multiple business groups and aerospace products to Google Cloud.

Boeing will enable its aerospace product software and internal developers’ abilities to design and deploy applications and solutions to solve problems, create new digital products, and support its business partners.

Google Cloud’s automation will enable Boeing application owners to accelerate provisioning services for projects. Developers will be able to leverage new data analytics and AI/ML tools for additional business impact, including offering insights that can improve Boeing’s efficiencies in airplane manufacturing.

Boeing has selected Microsoft to use Microsoft Cloud and its AI capabilities to update its technology infrastructure and mission-critical applications with intelligent solutions.

Judson Althoff, EVP and chief commercial officer at Microsoft, said: “The power of the Microsoft Cloud and its AI capabilities will serve as the core component to Boeing’s digital aviation strategy by providing flexible, agile and scalable solutions that are intelligent and data driven on a secure and compliant platform.”

Amazon Web Services

Boeing also announced partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) that extends the aerospace leader’s existing cloud operations and streamlines Boeing’s approach to cloud computing.

Matt Garman, SVP of Sales and Marketing at Amazon Web Services, said: “AWS’s cloud infrastructure and services allow Boeing to create new solutions for its customers and suppliers that will increase innovation and adaptability.”
